This. Plus her oh-so-noble brother had been abusing and molesting her for years before he forcibly married her off to someone he believed was violent and "savage". I think there are legitimate critiques of rape as plot device/character development and GRRM's handling of it, absolutely, but the fact that the narrative comes entirely from the POV of the victim, and that she very clearly already has internalized some things as "just how it is" (even if she hates it) and attempts to build something "good" from a deeply messed up situation shouldn't be ignored or minimized.
