It sounds tasty (I love whipped cream, especially homemade whipped cream)

It is awesome! And is basically the only thing I require at Christmas!

I am no fan of whipped cream tho, but the one my step mother makes is less sweet than most and it has cloudberries so I am happy! Whipped cream from a can should be illegal...

Absolutely! I make my own whipped cream and I like to add things like kahlua or baileys to it, eh what can I say? DELICIOUS.

Wait adding stuff to whipped cream? I could get behind that!

All you need is heavy cream, an electric mixer, some sugar, and whatever you're adding.

That is what the milk thing you use to make whipped cream is called in English? Whoa, I learn something new every day... I actually mix whipped cream by hand, because I am awesome like that*... I will have to try to mix alcohol into that and see what happens!

*Up until this Christmas I didn't have an electric mixer, so no choice.

I don't have the arm strength/patience to do it by hand. Yeah, in the US there are different forms, there's milk which comes in skim (no fat), 1%, 2%, and whole milk. Then there's half and half which is half cream and half milk. Then you have light cream and heavy cream. Heavy cream makes for better whipped cream.

It wasn't a suprise on the difference, just the name: In Norwegian milk is named like this:

The kinds you drink, from most to least fat:
H (Whole) Milk (I guess what you would call full fat)
Light Milk (what most people drink)
Extra Light Milk
Skimmed Milk

Then the ones used in cooking and so on;
Coffee Cream
Whipped Cream
Light Cream

So we actually have a milk (or cream) that is specially made for making whipped cream.

Certain brands will call it "heavy whipping cream" and others just call it "heavy cream"

But that's neat to know that it's fairly similar in Norwegian!

We have all of two brands of Milk in Norway, and the second one barely counts. They have the same names for their milk tho.

It is pretty similar, except we don't use the % thing so I get confused, they are written on the bottles, but we don't really use that info for anything.
