Re: Sci-Fi or Fantasy
I like the themes of sci-fi, such as exploring the human condition, morality vs progress, exploration, scientific ethics, and so forth. Sci-fi is more about examining humanity and how we tick and I always love that.
You also need to actually explain things more in sci-fi. I know, I know, lots of sci-fi is just waving things away with techno-jargon, but there's still plenty of sci-fi who try for scientific accuracy and it's just fascinating. Even better, people are trying to explain how we can do those things really soon, and I love reading a story that is showing an actual possibility of the future instead of one that is impossible to exist.
Also, fucking robots. ROBOTS, MAN. Robots > dragons anyday. ROBO-DRAGONS.
