I've wondering this as well. I'm in my 30s and identify as asexual, but the community (which I admit I am not a part of so this is just observation) does seem rather young. Particularly the loudest voices.

Like you said, not a bad thing. I think in general it's the younger crowds that tend to feel the need to shout their labels for the world to see. When you get older it's often not as big a deal. Maybe that's just me and my friends though.
