I find it a little depressing that the defending comments here are not so much "plus size people need more representation" or "it's all in good fun" but that "slash shippers are crazy and deserve to be mocked and portrayed as fat."

A lot of slash shippers are crazy and delusional, though. (And before you say anything, yes, I ship slash pairings myself. I just don't insist that my pairings are canon/should be canon/will be canon like so many people I've run across.)

Not all of them, obviously, but it's a prevalent enough thing that the stereotype exists for a reason.
