Beautiful protagonists. I know the urge to write about good looking people and otherwise make your protagonist perfect, but if the character has to specifically be described as super attractive, it's a turn-off for me.

It's worse when the writing specifically states that the character is "plain" or "not beautiful," followed by a lovingly in-depth paragraph describing them with adjectival phrases that make it sound like they were sculpted by the hands of the gods.

This. I'd rather protagonists just be described in detail without summing it up with whether they're conventionally attractive or not. Maybe some character perspectives see them as hot and others are unimpressed (without being evil and jealous for being unimpressed), but I don't want the story to be like this person is objectively gorgeous, it's so boring.
