Totally normal, especially if you say you haven't been to the doctor in a while. Asking for a blood panel (lipids, blood sugar, etc) is not only normal, it's recommended, even if you feel healthy, so you can have an official baseline, and catch a potential something that's not yet symptomatic.

If you feel like you have several issues, you might want to see if you can 'double book', just to make sure you have enough time to get through it all. Most doctors I've seen only allot 15 minutes or so.
