I'm related to wild west outlaws who were in a famous gang, but also half my family fought on the Confederate side (half of them fought for the Union side, too, so...I guess there is that? It was a war between brothers in a rather literal sense when it came to my family), and my family owned slaves. Am I proud of it? Uh........

Well no, not in the sense that I actually approve of slaves or anything fucked up like that. And the Confederate flag raises my eyebrows pretty quick. But do I find it all fascinating enough to talk about? You bet your ass I do.

No Confederates in my family. The family who were in the States were Union. My great Grandfather though was a bootlegger/low lever hood who more than likely was murdered in his car. So clearly, I've got the makings of the next Nucky Thompson. Flee.
