Thanks.. I really do try.

Though I'm very worried about offending and upsetting people. It's sort of a flaw of mine, I think too much about pleasing everyone , or at least avoiding pissing off the really vocal people.

Honestly, if you really want to share stories with people, you're going to have to accept that there will be people who get pissed off. A lot of people are stupid and will misinterpret you! And you're not perfect, either. You'll probably end up writing things that deserve some criticism. Either way, you cannot please everyone. Make that your daily mantra. Every author and every public figure ever has had to acknowledge this. I'm still struggling with it myself, so I wish you the best of luck.
