What whaaaa—I'm just going to the echo the general THE HELL here about the nutcase. How can you not come away resenting the fandom for that. I hate that people like her exist, and that they fixate on stupid bullshit to justify the way they act and "socialize." Psycho fans ffs.

Like you said though, the bbc is absolutely nothing like the canon for folk to even start giving the Beeb's credit for things that actually happen in the books. Irene, Mary, Sherlock even, they're similar in name only basically.
