Well, I remember this one fic wherein Janeway had this internal monologue going and one of the lines was "I'm crying inside, and nobody knows it but me." And it was supposed to be taken seriously. I laughed so hard I almost choked, but it did make me think of how (in the J/7 fandom, at least) that line pretty much sums up how a lot of fanfic writers characterize her, while in those same fics Seven often gets written as this saintly, innocent woobie and their pure love and magic vaginas heal their deep, soul-crushing angst.

Omg what? Idk if I should laugh or cry, but at least now I'm kind of glad that I never read Voyager fic :D

No no. don't be glad. Be glad you never read *that* fic, but there's too much good Voyager fic out there to eschew the whole category. :)
