There's a difference between characters that are OOC because the author turned their canon traits up to eleven, and characters that are OOC because the author gave them an entirely different set of traits that don't seem to have anything to do with what's seen in canon. I sometimes like it when characters are exaggerated for the sake of humor. I don't like it when characters are completely unrecognizable as themselves.
