Re: Prejeduces Based on super powers

I agree with the other anon about Techno's - though I might suggest adding "not viewed as being good with emotions" or being loners?

Umbrekinetic - They're shady - and I don't mean in the "provides shade" variety [though they do that too, I guess :P]. But they might have a stereotype as being of criminal inclination?

Invisibility - Same as Umbrekinetic, tbh. They're both powers amazingly well suited to activities that you'd not want to be seen during, or caught after. Maybe have a strong connection between the two [stereotypically] because of that?

Illusion: Showboats. They're all smoke and mirrors. Maybe have it so that making something realistic takes way more control/power than something that's obviously not real. For example, a dragon - despite being big and flashy - takes more power than say...making an apple someone could bite into and *still* not realize it's an illusion because you're dealing with sight, smell, and even touch instead of just sight [and you can't count on your target[s]' minds filling in the gaps since they all *know* what an apple tastes/smells/looks like.]

/coughs Anyways...

I was also wondering why you were connecting Telekinesis to intelligence? I'm not criticizing, I'm just wondering since it's one of those powers that always seems to be linked to emotions. Kind of like an adrenaline rush usually.

Umbrekinetic: Shady, probably evil, often criminals or involved with dark forces. Older superstitious sorts tend to believe that shadow powers suggest darkness of the soul.

Ohoho that works perfectly.

Invisbility: Perverts and sneaks or just really shy and softspoken.

I can see people not trusting invisble sorts as much as I can see them stereotyped as sneaky.

Ohhh I like that idea for Illutionists.

as for telekinetics. I originally included the bookish / intelligence thing relating to Matilda , and possibly because telekinesis is a very brainy type power and some (mainly mundane people) believed it came from people who were so smart they used more of their brain. Though I can also see them perceived as emotionally volatile and disastrous if angered. The latter probably more so.
