I had this phase where I wore only black for a time. That was when I was 14/15 -16/17. I'm now 27 and have started wearing different colours again over 10 years ago. Yet people who've known me for a while still act like it's the newest, most amazing thing when they see me wearing something not-black. (as I do about every day).

Whoa, are you me?

When my parents get me clothes for my birthday/Christmas, they always say "We thought you could use some things that aren't black for a change" and laugh.

Haha, I know - I'm always tempted to ask "Have you actually looked at me during the last few years???"

But then again, I once bought coloured contacts :very light brown - almost orange and definitely noticable. Both of my parents didn't notice until I told them. My real eye colour is green.
I mean, sure, I guess you get so used to someone's appearance if you live with them long enoug that you don't really look at them too closely anymore but still...
