Yes. I'm a huge shipper, but Doctor & Donna was so much more enjoyable than the 'romances' with the others.

I had always proudly said about Four/Sarah Jane that she was the only companion he ever called his 'best friend'--"Hello, have you met Miss Smith? She's my best friend!"--but I was perfectly happy to admit Donna to that exclusive club. She didn't take any of his shit, he encouraged her, they improved each other by their presence (my main complaint with 10/Rose was that I liked them fine individually but they seemed to become worse when together).
