I have a class I need to teach in 4 minutes. They're doing plays based on sayings of Prophet Muhammad, but half of them are, er, somewhat challenged and I think I'm going to have to end up making it a class thing instead of dividing them into groups so they all do separate plays. I honestly believe, though, that this wouldn't happen if some of them would just listen to me and pay attention. I guess it's kind of my fault for not being an engaging enough teacher - but it's good enough for the half of them so idk. It's only my second day and I want to give up ;_;

But I won't, of course. Some of them are really hardworking and are very excited about it, I'd go on, for their sakes. But still.

To be fair, it's not uncommon for students to not listen, particularly if they know/suspect a teacher is new.

Oh, I'm totally used to the not-listening. Of course, it happens all the time. I just wish they would listen. Anyway, I'm back from the class now and we seem to be getting on better now, so maybe I can hold on long enough to pull everyone through :)
