How does it work? I tried but nothing HAPPENS when I upload. A 1 appears on the top bar but it's inaccessible.

And Tinypic doesn't seem to work either, because when I fill out the captcha and click the button, again, nothing happens. The button doesn't even react as buttons are supposed to. There's no loading, no nothing.

It may depend on how big your image is - at least for imgur.

Do you have noscript, or something like it? If so, you might have to allow more things on those pages.

In any case, it sounds like it's probably a problem on your end. Either a browser problem or an extension interfering or something.

It might have something to do with your computer or browser settings or the image you are trying to upload.

In case it helps, here's how the process works for me:

I click on the button at the upper right that says "computer" under "upload images." Then a window pops up that lets me browse my computer for the file I want. I double click on it and then another window pops up that lets me choose to browse for more images or I can click "start upload" down at the lower right of the pop-up. I wait a few seconds while it uploads and then the page refreshes so now it shows my uploaded image with a list of codes to use to display the image in various formats down the right.
