Welcome to every gamer forum. The other ones aren't much better, they're just less derisive (because think about it: what kind of people can't find a better community than STEAM FORUMS? Kids and the socially broken).

Honestly, I suggest going to game fandom sites--that is, a forum full of people who really like the game. You're more likely to find people who have to play on low settings.

Not counting a few weeks in Heroes fandom, my first real forum experience was on the Spiderweb Software forums. I was kind of an idiot, but the other forumites were quite nice to me. (I understand those forums are still going, but I'm not really interested in Spiderweb's games anymore.)

Actually, I can think of several that are categorically worse. But they tend to be associated with old PC games, particularly RPGs. RPG Codex is the Stormfront of video games, I don't take seriously anyone who has an account there.
