more an issue with nerdy ass gamer dudes wanting to find something to be on top of in life so they might as well be Supreme Geek Snob

I've gotten this impression from many of the nerdy people I've encountered (specifically the ones who are holier-than-thou, or like to bully others.) Like they got bullied at school or have spent their whole life feeling inferior to others, so they want to be "top dog" in at least some area of their lives.

It's kind of sad, really.
