For breakfast oatmeal is good. If you don't like the texture maybe try steel cut oats, takes a little longer to make but not as mushy. I like to make oatmeal with orange juice instead of water, then you don't have to add sugar. Sometimes I throw in a few craisins and walnuts with orange oatmeal. Another way to avoid adding sugar to oatmeal is to dump a handful of blueberries in. Another thing I like to make for breakfast is a vegetable heavy (bell pepper, spinach, tomato, onion, whatever you like), meatless, oven baked frittata. Plenty of recipes for it online.

Like people above said, veggie heavy stir frys are good but try and season them with spices and not sauces or at the very least read the nutritional panel if you buy the sauce pre-made. You can easily undo the point of a stir fry with an unhealthy sauce.

Hummus is cheap, tasty, and pretty easy to make at home. To save money you can sub the tahini for peanut butter, a lot of people I know prefer it like that. Hummus is really tasty in wraps with spinach, onion, and tomato. Or you could get a little box of tabbouleh or couscous, mix in some cucumber, spinach, tomato, onion, and a little feta then top with hummus and you have a tasty cold work lunch.

Overwhelming your dishes with vegetables is really the best way to go no matter what you make.

If you have a microwave at work I like to broil chicken, onions, and tomatoes drizzled in a little Italian dressing and dump them over a small amount of noodles. Another thing I like to make that seems to hold up in the microwave is grated carrots, onions, and frozen spinach sauteed with a little barbeque sauce in a lightly fried (olive oil and patted down with a napkin) tortilla shell. It might sound weird but it is tasty and you won't really miss the meat.

Warm soups tend to feel more filling per calorie to me so I recommend looking up healthy vegetarian recipes (you can always add a bit of chicken if you really want it).

Oh and juice might seem healthy but it is a real calorie sink so watch out for that. :)

I have been drinking fruit smoothies in the morning? Is that bad? Real ones. I use frozen fruit medly + fresh bananas + almond milk. I don't add anything else. I usually drink a cup and a half of it.

If that is filling you up until lunch it's working for you so stick with it! I only mention the juice thing because a lot of my friends could drink a crazy amount of calories in one sitting and not count it because ~juice is healthy!

Add some spinach to your morning smoothie for some extra nutrients. I promise you won't even taste it! Also I add some vanilla protein powder and find it helps keep me full longer. Just an idea.

Sounds okay as long as 1) the frozen fruit doesn't have added sugar and 2) it keeps you full until lunch time.

Consider oatmeal for breakfast, to which you can also add fruit. It's filling, inexpensive, and reduces risk of heart disease. If you use quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats, it's also really fast to make, a couple minutes in the microwave and you're good to go. Adding almond milk to that would also work.

I like an egg or two for breakfast too. It's pretty easy to scramble an egg and add it raw to hot oatmeal right after it's out of the pot. Also, one of my easy lazy breakfasts is a bagel with a fried egg, salsa and cream cheese. It can usually keep me happy for 5 hours.
