Most gaming forums are shit. That's just a fact. They're full of basement dwelling trolls and neckbeards who have their fedoras on way too tight. You can usually find what you need though, if you wade through all the crap. The Steam forums are no different, Especially when you get a bunch of super nerds together who measure the size of their e-penis by the specs on their gaming rig. It's better to try and get involved in gaming communities for specific games than to dive into general forums.

But I have a beef with Steam anyway. I'll continue to play the games I've already bought from them, but I sure as hell am not going to give them anymore of my money.

Oh yes, they're awful. My girlfriend and I were both on a gaming forum and couldn't figure out why people were polite and helpful to her but rude and dismissive to me. Then we realised that her username read "male" and mine read "female" so obviously she was a serious gamer and I wasn't.

The forum was for a casual game, so whatever, dicks.
