Love triangle?

I was under the impression that a love triangle was when someone (usually a vapid, flat-charactered female) couldn't decide between a really pretty guy who treated her like dirt and a less pretty guy who treats her like a queen. Or at least when there was some indecision. I think the movie's done it's best to show that there's actually no competition; Tauriel's feelings for Legolas get as far as manipulative friendship. I really don't see where this love triangle thing is coming from.

I thought (in the more traditional sense) that a love triange was when Character A was in love with Character B who was in love with Character C who was in love with Character A.

In this case, it seems to be more Kili and Legolas loving Tauriel while Tauriel loves kicking ass and being super competent.
