what do you think is worse for people with triggers, knowing friday will have triggery things at the bottom of the post along with regular secrets or finding a triggery secret at random throughout the week? random makes no sense

To be honest I'd be happier if they were dropped altogether, but I think that's asking too much. I was thinking where we have NS NF etc, there could be a section for people who really need triggery material called "Trigger" and you'd have to actively click on it each day, meaning that EVERYDAY people who have triggers are free from them without having to scroll. Also to everyone saying "Just scroll past them" sometimes you just can't scroll fast enough and it can be really upsetting.

there's an easy trick for that. dont look at the post itself, go straight to the bottom with the scroll bar at the right then go through the comments only, clicking links as you go. if something is marked triggery don't click it. issue resolved
starphotographs: I like him. He kind of looks and acts like one of my characters. (I did not know this when I started liking him!) (Victor (...>:|))

You know, I've always suspected that those "OMG HOW DAR U I COULDN'T SCROLL FAST ENOUGH AND SAW A BAD!! :(" people just don't know that the scrollbar is clickable. This thread is making me think that there is something to that after all.

Dammit, now I need a good stiff drink. :|

It seems to be working just fine the way it is and to be honest, I don't like the tone of these comments talking about "people who have triggers". We are all capable of speaking up for ourselves if there's any problem, thank you. :)

Oh, is OP an SJW? I took it from context they were having difficulty themselves.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-01 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
ayrt - It's not for me to say if they are or not. They could be having difficulty themselves. This is just how the comments are reading to me, and it's a bit frustrating. Either way, I honestly like the comm the way it is and I don't think it's that hard to scroll past the secrets.

There's a big red warning label right before the triggery secrets start. When you hit that, locate the "End" key on your keyboard to jump directly to the bottom of the page, and then scroll up until you reach the beginning of the comments section. Magically, you will have avoided the trigger section in its entirety.

meaning that EVERYDAY people who have triggers are free from them without having to scroll.

Why is having to scroll such a big chore?
