No she isn't. She's making him feel uncomfortable in response to his sexist implication that women aren't supposed to be like men. It's not declaring that women are bad, it's just a jab at his attitude toward gender roles.

While I'm not telling you that you have to like the character, he came up with the insult. She used the insult he gave to her back against him. He called her 'mannish', then she called him 'mannish', implying he's not really a man.

Actually no one is calling anyone a woman. They're using "not a man" as an insult.

Fun fact -- the forum I go to has a member with the username Vasquez, and a lot of people who don't know her very well have tended to assume she's male (it's a fair assumption, TTLG is mostly a sausage-fest anyway.)

Because of that her member status is "mistaken for a man." It helps that as soon as someone quotes Aliens, it spawns at least a page's worth of further quotes.

I came here to say Vasquez. She's one of the most baddass characters of all time, IMHO. I like to pretend she survived and is touring the galaxy kicking alien ass.
