Re: Canons you hate
(Anonymous) 2014-02-01 03:46 am (UTC)(link)Doctor Who for some reason doesn't bother me as much, though I've blacklisted a long list of related terms to bring the volume of Whovian stuff on my dash down to more reasonable levels. Ditto Avengers/MCU.
On the flip side, Harry Potter canon (specifically, everything after OotP) utterly ruined the fandom for me. And the Hobbit movie fandom and canon sort of seem to be immolating themselves together in one spectacular plummeting fireball of "lousy too-long too-speechified adaptation full of shit that wasn't even vaguely hinted at in the books" and "OMG what the fuck is so great about Martin Freeman?"
