How big/intense that larger one is depends on a variety of factors, and with a partner, I've found I can reach what I *think* is the best I'm going to get.. only to driven to an even higher level which is just mindblowing. I think I've only managed to hit that mark a couple of times purely solo. It's definitely rare.
Also, the way my body is wired, I can tell the origin of each orgasm. My vaginal ones are satisfying, but not truly intense. Clitoral ones are more intense, but not as satisfying. G-spot ones are more intense than clitoral, but not as satisfying as vaginal. The mindblowing ones mentioned above? Happen when all three go at once.
It's all about learning what works for your body, and how to "play" it to the best of your ability. Try different things (like maybe fingers ir a dildo rather than a vibrator). Also, that feeling like you have to pee? That's g-spot stimulation. Next time, just put a towel under yourself and go with it. You may be pleasantly surprised. :)
