I don't ever use character tags to find fics on AO3 because everyone tags every single character that appears and it isn't useful. Shipping tags are still helpful, though, as are rating or genre tags.

Doesn't AO3 already let you exclude tags?

It won't help for untagged mpreg, but FF.Net won't save you from that either.

You don't need an account, all you need is to add -(tag) when you search.
