"Queer."

It doesn't offend me (unless it's actually being used as a slur, but I'm not even thinking of that usage), I just don't like it for some reason. I use it because I am "queer," but I hate using it and the way it sounds and feels. I wish there was another common umbrella word (not acronym) for "not straight" that I could use instead.

I wish there were, too. I get it's reclaimed from a slur and all, but... (In Spanish, it's "marica", and by god that makes me cringe).

I use it for the same reasons you do. I seriously cannot with the "LGTBQIAA+", the acronym barely means anything now (and please let's not get into which letter comes first, that's so damn wanky). In that way, I vastly prefer "queer"
