That's the thing, though: people are never going to stop making shitty things. It's not as if they're going to suddenly see the light because of this and mend their ways. Why would they? There's clearly a market for those shitty things, like trashy romance novels. In fact, the people who make shitty things are actually pretty damn smart, because they've figured out that there's a consumer base out there for that kind of stuff and they're capitalizing on it.

It would be a lot dumber of them to STOP making things that they're profiting off of.
