I'm in a similar situation. I work with kids everyday and I don't like them....

I mean. In work it's fine. I enjoy herding around the munchkins and doing other classroom activities. But outside of work? I'll find 5 min to fawn over your little bundle of joy and then you better take it back. I love "kid" movies, too. But. Can't tell anyone, though. A lot of my co-workers have kids and I get asked constantly when I'm going to start having 'em. I don't want them.

I feel you. I actually used to tutor kids with learning disabilities and other issues.I'm good with them, but if anything, it made me realize I'm glad I don't have to take them home.

My curse is that I'm somehow great with kids but I honestly hate being around them for longer than a few minutes. I'm one of those "the best part of children is giving them back to the parents" types. When I'm being paid to tutor that's fine, but dear god am I glad that I won't have one, or any small siblings to take care of. Never going to have them. -_-

This doesn't sound like you dislike children, it sounds like you just interact with a lot of children for your job and it's understandably tiring. But taking a job dealing strongly with children when you dislike them? That sounds like you'd only be hurting yourself and them (because kids know when an adult dislikes them).
