I was thinking the same thing. Other than fighting over a guy, which she and Betty both participate in, she's a pretty good friend.

Depending on the strip, Veronica can vary from being Betty's BFF to her rival for Archie to a downright bitch actively seeking to put pain or humiliation onto Betty. With that kind of personality switch I'd say she'd be pretty untrustworthy.

A lot of the characters seem to have wild personality swings, though. I think it's because you get about 40,000 different people writing the comic and they all have their own headcanon about the characters.

Absolutely. I mean, sometimes Betty's actually as ditzy and girly as Veronica, just more... Girl Next Door, other times she's the smart one.

Yes to the personality swings (depending on the story). I was actually going to say the same about Betty.
