I was thinking the same thing. Other than fighting over a guy, which she and Betty both participate in, she's a pretty good friend.

Depending on the strip, Veronica can vary from being Betty's BFF to her rival for Archie to a downright bitch actively seeking to put pain or humiliation onto Betty. With that kind of personality switch I'd say she'd be pretty untrustworthy.

But Veronica could be really nice to her friends and was always throwing fancy parties for them or paying for them to go places. If anything Reggie should be the one who makes you distrust rich people, since he's basically just a jerk most of the time.

But Veronica is actually a reasonably decent person (depending on the writer, it varies)? I mean, she is rich, pretty self-centered, and stuck up, but she's also loyal, smart and willing to help her friends when she can.

I think there's a difference between Veronica Lodge rich - born into it, snooty etc. - and people who worked for it and do not flaunt it, like my parents.

There's noth wrong with being rich, there's also nothing wrong with working at McDonald's.

It isn't being rich that's the problem, it's people deciding that they are better than others because of how much they have. Or thinking that an honest job, whatever it may happen to be, is beneath them because it's only a small step from there to thinking that the people who work that job are beneath them. You don't want to do the job, that's fine, you would suck at the job, okay, but you are not too good for it.

I know we were supposed to like Betty better but I always though Veronica was way cooler and sexier, more for her personality than for her money. what I never understood was why two hot babes like them would fight over Archie constantly. Archie was kind of a dork.
