It's not about flaunting it. The visible signs of wealth are not important, the behaviors and beliefs and attitudes are what's important. What matters is whether or not your parents are part of the effort that the wealthy (as a class) have led to destroy any program or tendency that does anything other than increase their wealth and funnel all the money in society to them, and inculcate the belief that the poor are poor because they are lesser than other people. If you (a hypothetical you - not you, specifically, OP) are out there campaigning against any and all social safety nets, campaigning against any and all financial regulations, campaigning against any and all tax obligations, I don't give a shit whether or not you were born into wealth. You're still a shithead.
