AYRT

That's not the point. Something COULD get on the seat, you don't know that in advance. It's just really unsanitary. It shows you don't give a shit about whoever comes in after you.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
That's absurd. You'll probably get more germs from adults sitting in those seats. Does adult ass germs not bother you?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
OMG, I'm not a germophobe. Can you honestly not see how people would be disgusted by the thought of urine or feces getting on that seat? A cinema is NOT the venue to change a baby, especially since most have perfectly fine changing tables in the ladies' restrooms.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
You sound very sheltered. And like we're saying, it's clean, much cleaner than adults munching and farting and scuffing everywhere in the seats.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
It's why they install changing stalls in bathrooms. So IN CASE SOMETHING UNFORSEEN does happen and baby diarrhea gets everywhere, it's not in a place that can't be bleached and wiped off.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
DA. Are you being deliberately obtuse, or do you really believe there is no difference between farting/munching/scuffing and actual urine and feces.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-11 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but odds are the seat you sat in had been peed in already by an adult. Guess how often they deep clean/replace those seats.

I can kinda see this argument if you have a boy because he might pee in the air when you're changing him, but other than that...how are things gonna get in the seat if you're doing it right? How is it unsanitary if you put a cloth down and nothing but the cloth touches the seat...?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
With a penis, you can almost always tell if it's immiment, and a cloth over it does the trick. Only had one or two accidents, at home, when newborn.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
So, I'm generally on the side of people who are more laissez-faire about public entertainment and kids, but...changing your kids on the backseats is unsanitary and hugely selfish. Accidents do happen, and not only is it gross for the next theatregoer, but you just made a disgusting mess for the cleaning people at the theatre.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Eyeroll from me, who does it. I travelled around Asia with my baby too. I'm very good at changing the baby wherever and with the sheer amount of disinfecting, it's cleaner than most adults. Get a grip.

ITT: entitled parents who do not give damn about other people's enjoyment of a film being ruined by crying infant , or who think nobody should be bothered by their little angel's poop.

You know nothing about changing diapers if you think poop just gets rubbed on everything in a five foot radius.

How is an infant crying once and being taken out of the theater until they calm down any worse than people chewing popcorn, slurping, shuffling, snuffling, whispering, getting up and down to go to bathroom, talking, texting, etc.?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
The sound of babies crying is wired into us to be really fucking irritating. Thus ensuring that we do something about it, thus ensuring that the species survives.

I find sneezing and snuffling more irritating than crying babies.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
You seem like a huge douche.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-06 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
And you seem entitled.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-07 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not the one who is apparently demanding not to have to share space with children. How fucking entitled is that?

Presumably, if anything got on the seat, they would clean it up or alert the staff.

Otherwise, nothing is going to get on the seats.

If you are going to worry, worry about the people who wipe their boogers on the seats, spit on the seats, vomit, or jerk-off (all of which I've seen or directly heard of happening). Adults are far more likely to make a mess they won't clean up that diaper changes.
