I have an obsession for crossovers that pair crime shows with shows that have magical or scifi elements (Criminal Minds/Harry Potter, CSI/Doctor Who, etc.). Or crossovers of things with two very different types of magic where the author manages to seamlessly integrate them.

I like crime/magic-or-scifi crosses too, because I feel the best working crossovers are when it's a mundane concept and a non-mundane, with the mundane characters having to puzzle out the non-mundane factors.

Crossing magical systems is a lot harder, as is crossing magic and scifi. It takes a good writer to do either, and often the easiest solution is to choose one and have it the dominant factor and explain the other through it (like all magic is merely a science we don't understand).

I wanted to write a Gremlins/Merlin BBC crossover in which Gaius comes into the possession of a Mogwai and Merlin gets it wet and then Arthur feeds them after midnight and then they have to fight Gremlins. So, if someone other than me wrote that I'd read it.

I have been trying for ages to write a Community/My Little Pony crossover in which Jeff and Rarity are cousins.

I once read an incomplete Warhammer 40K/MLP:FiM crossover where the God-Emperor of Mankind revives and ends the war, but is thrown somewhere away and is tuned into a pony. A female one. In other words, Celestia. She then uses her god-like Warp powers to genetically engineer a whole planet and breeds a race of ponies.

The only problem with it is that the plot seems to be an Equestria translation of the basic story of WH40K, with Luna being the pony rerun of Horus.

Other than that I also once read a really cool Sherlock/Slenderman cross, and someone on the Hobbit kink meme wrote a great Hobbit/Slenderman cross as well.

On the crackfic side, there was also a Transformers/Sailor Moon cross mainly of the "one canon gets the other canon's shtick" type - Autobots become Sailor Senshi. There were a couple of straight-up crossover chapters where Sailor Moon and her companions turned up in the dimension where the Autobots are.
