I'm sorry, this is incorrect. JK Rowling wrote the entire story with Harry/Ginny in mind. Her relevancy in the story was not "last minute" nor did she "never belong." She was the first Weasley character to appear and her ending up with Harry was foreshadowed from book 2. JKR may regret how she wrote the story now, but that does not add clues or hints that weren't there before last week.

And in this corner we have a bitter Harry/Ginny shipper.

Stop being a dickhead.

How on earth could they be bitter? H/G is still canon, and, well...they're right. JKR planned it. Whether she thinks she shouldn't have now is immaterial to what she did at the time she wrote the books.

So tired of the Ginny haters. It's like this in every fandom--the One Who Ends Up with the Hero is absolutely savaged by the bitter fangirls. (It's okay, Ginny, Cho Chang got the same misogynistic garbage.) Ginny's a perfectly decent character who was developed fine. Get over it.

Anyway, JKR said nothing about how Hr should've ended up with Harry. Have no idea why so many people read the article that way. She said she wasn't sure about Ron/Hermione. If Ron and Hr don't end up together, she doesn't by default go to Harry like a fucking reward. Maybe she doesn't end up with anyone! GASP.

Well then, I hope she does regret how she wrote it. I do believe if she had written it better - shown Harry interacting with Ginny a bit more, maybe the relationship would be more believable for me.

(Please note, I really mean that "for me" bit. This is personal opinion and I am very aware other people thought there was enough in the books.)

Right on. Someone with actual reading comprehension, thank you, I totally agree.
