My only contribution to this secret is that I adore the shit out of William Blake and thank you for reminding me of these collections of poems. I think I first read them in, like, second grade and they (and the illustrations) were always a really big part of my childhood. :)

I adore him too. One of the most expensive presents I ever bought myself was a copy of William Blake: The Complete Illuminated Books. It ate up my spending cash for like a month, but it was so, so worth it.

Me too! Sometimes I don't 'get' his poems right away, but they're very beautiful aesthetically and I love reading them out loud.

The Tyger is definitely one of my favorites :)

Actually, now that I think of it, I'm pretty certain I was first introduced to Blake via the appendix of The Jungle Book, explaining the title of the chapter "Tiger-Tiger!" I think that prompted me to take note of a book of Blake poems among a bunch of other kid-friendly poetry books my dad brought from the library.

Yeah, my reaction to the secret was kind of, "Oh, OP doesn't like shipping, okay -- William Blake poem! :D" He's one of my favorite poets.
