Sort of unrelated, but you can see some of RTD's writing of Eleven in the Sarah Jane Adventures episode "Death of the Doctor." :)

Also, I personally think that what you're proposing would just result in Ten being written as more Elevenish (and maybe Eleven being written as more Tenish, but RTD seems to have a better track record for variety in characters' personalities than Moffat.) Unless you just mean the actors?

I mostly just dislike Moffatt's writing but love Matt and sort of dislike Ten (though not to the level of my Moffatt dislike). So I'd just ignore Ten/David's Doctor and not watch that stuff if it was written by Moffatt.

I like Matt's portrayal of the Doctor, and I feel like him as written by RTD would maybe take on some of the best parts of Ten but would still be Matt playing the Doctor.

You and I think alike. Eccelston is my favourite of the new Doctors and Smith is second, I don't care for Tennant much. But I I have major issues with Moffat's writing. I just wish Smith would stay a couple more series so we could see him under a new show runner.

See, I was happy when Moffat was made showrunner, because his episodes of 9 and 10 were some of the best. "The Empty Child" and "The Doctor Dances" were his, and so was "Blink", possibly the best single hour of television I've seen in the past decade. I figured "Great! Put your best writer in charge and let the awesome shit commence!"

And then the opposite of that happened.

Moffatt is good at one-off episodes, but he's not a great showrunner. He gets obsessed with his mysteries and arcs and then lets everything else slide.
