Basically. This is the one thing that holds me back from BTVS (although, I'm sure if I'd watched that as a teen, I would at least have a nostalgic fondness for it).

To be fair, they don't stay in High School the whole time. They age up a little as the seasons progress.

I generally can't get through high school-themed shows, but BtVS was one of the only ones I watched and loved! I tend to skip the earlier years when they're in high school on rewatch, though.
