I think it's because she tends to be more a plot device than an actual character? I don't know. That was my feelings on her, though. It's hard to care about the MacGuffin.

This is kind of how I feel. I don't dislike her, I just don't care yet. I do have hopes for her with Capaldi, though. Now that we've gotten the plot device thing out of the way, they may do better at making her into a character.

Yeah, agreed. I mean, her character description is, "I was born to save the Doctor" and that's kind of... it? They never really bothered actually developing her. Even Amy had some more semblance of character, stereotypical and limited as it was - Clara is literally just there to motivate and save the Doctor.
