I can't say I dislike her, I'm just indifferent. I almost wish we were getting a new companion and I feel terrible about it because I'm sure the actress is a lovely person and I don't want her fired, but... Everything about the way she's written is so underwhelming. Maybe the show will do a better job with her this coming season.

The writing is definitely the biggest problem, but I don't feel like the actress has any presence at all. Even when there's a scene that I think is a great writing moment, I'm just not getting anything from her.

I don't think she's terrible but she hasn't impressed me either; still, I haven't seen the actress in any other roles so I don't feel comfortable saying she's a bad actress or anything. Maybe it's the writing (like you said, I think at least SOME of it's the writing) or maybe she just wasn't well suited for the role.
