I just feel bad that I had no idea who he was when they mentioned the name. And when I went to IMDB to see if maybe he was just one of those actors where I don't connect the name and face, I've only seen him in Twister and Mission Impossible III and I don't even remember him in MI:III.

:/

I'm sad (in a sort of 'man that sucks for his family/the people who loved him' way) that he's died, but I feel like I'm missing out on why people are acting like the biggest actor since slice bread died. ._.

Maybe not biggest in terms of everyone knowing his name like Brad Pitt or something, but he's generally considered on the absolute highest talent level and has appeared in a number of very famous movies.

This. He had range, he both supported and led films well, and even in bad or easy-paycheck movies, he always gave a strong performance, where you could believe the character had their own life outside of the film's plot. Plus, he was expected to have a few more good decades of amazing performances left.
