Aw man, OP. 'Midnight' is my absolute favorite episode. I could give or take the others, but 'Midnight'... It hits me right in the gut every time I watch it.

But anyway, it seems like you're more character-oriented than plot-oriented, which is cool. You don't have to like things just because lots of other people do.
