Exactly. The show would have sent a whole different message at she liked wearing such clothing in the first place and didn't give a flying fuck what anyone else thought about it. Legit question: if the show made it so the clothes were literal aliens that plan to take people over and consume them, what kind of logical, thematic message would it then imply if the characters fought against that?
