You mean a season that purposefully played to Johnlock shippers has people thinking it could happen? Wow. I'm surprised fans, many of which enjoy the relationship dynamics between John and Sherlock and like to imagine their romantic and sexual potential, picked up on the deliberate queer baiting by the writer(s)/creator(s). I just can't believe they'd be so delusional as to pick up exactly what the writer(s)/creator(s) are putting down and run with it.

At least you recognize the reality that they're queerbaiting. As we see from this post, many don't.

In previous seasons, I dismissed the queerbaiting charges as mostly just whining about Johnlock not being canon and people reading too much into things. Things have definitely changed in S3, though. I still don't think there's as much queerbaiting in this show as some people claim - a lot of it is just people reading too much into things or flipping their shit over some gentle teasing, but I concede that there is some definite baiting going on now and yeah, coming down hard on fans for noticing this is kind of dickish.
