Agreed. I can understand passionate shipping, and oh-god-why-aren't-they-canon shipping (I've done lots of both over the years), but the fact that people believe that the show is actually aiming for a canon Johnlock endgame... quite frankly, it baffles me. Like, are they taking the joking words of the writers to heart? "Oh, they really love each other" pretty much never means "they're canon and we're going to make it official on screen", it means that the characters are really tight and have a lot of platonic love for each other. Plus, on what planet is such a lauded and globally popular show going to make that kind of step? Even if the creators were inclined to make Johnlock canon, which they most clearly are not, I imagine the pressures from various sources like the media and network executives would ax that neatly.

It's fine to love a ship, just... try not to get so emotionally invested that you succumb to such bizarre delusions.
