Lonely Shipper Island

Got this idea from the Stargate secret: I have a feeling some of us feel all alone with at least one ship that we love. So here's the place to name your ship (pop it in the subject line for easier browsing) and see if anyone else shares your enthusiasm.

Stargate SG-1: Daniel/Kawalsky

Kawalsky wasn't around for long, but watch Point of View and all the ways they stare at each other (and Kawalsky gets a little handsy when they're all captured). And even in the premiere, there was this air of something in the past.

I've never been in a fandom (and I've been in fandom on and off for about 15 years) where I haven't shipped the main slash juggernaut pairing, let alone shipped a het pairing that has been hinted at in canon that breaks up the main slash pairing. This is all strange and bewildering to me, FS. Hold me.

I think they'd be really good for each other, in a weird way. Jeff would push Shirley outside of her bubble and Shirley would ground Jeff a whole lot. In fact, I can't think of many possible Community ships that are equally complementary.

I could get behind it. I don't really like Lydia with anyone else, and while I don't hate Allison/Isaac and quite liked Allison/Scott, I think Allison/Lydia would be pretty awesome. (And yes, hot.)

Fire Emblem Awakening: Sully/Vaike

I thought it was a really obvious pairing when I started playing, and absolutely adorable when I had them tie the knot. But fandom only ships Sully with Stahl or Virion and seems to ignore Vaike entirely. I've met a grand total of two other people who ship this. :(

Dom/Marcus and Cole/Baird from Gears of War, because GoW has no traditional 'fandom'. (That I know of, anyway.) There are a few fics (maybe there's more now, but back when I was looking it was a lot of OC stuff) but they tend to be awful so there's barely any use in bothering.

Connor/people who are not his father from Assassin's Creed 3, particularly Norris or Ellen or Washington (before things go to hell, anyway).

Chris Argent/someone because Chris Argent is too hot to not be getting some and needs more porn in general. Although Melissa/Sheriff Stilinski are my OTP I would probably read Chris/Melissa/Sheriff because yes.

Gears has some porn out there. I've seen it before. The fandom is there, it's just not very cohesive. I know I have definitely seen Marcus/Dom around.

I know I've seen some Gears stuff on y-gallery ...it's been awhile since I checked it out, though, and iirc it was rather hit-or-miss quality.

Also y-gallery's search function leaves a lot to be desired :/

I remember like, a year ago, on the Avengers kinkmeme, someone had prompted Loki/Natasha/Thor and I was like, OH MY GOD I WANT THAT SO MUCH.

It never got filled or even reposted, but yeah. I guess it's not a ship of one because somebody else thought of it first but I've never seen it suggested outside that one prompt. :|

When i was in the TF fandom I was really down about how little G1 Optimus/Ultra Magnus or Ultra Magnus/Rodimus Prime existed. I personally blame the systemic hate for the G1 movie over it killing Optimus off.

I know the first time I was in LotR I was depressed about how hard it was to find Aragorn/Boromir that was not moody, angsty foreshadowing to Boromir's death.

I feel my OTP this time doesn't even have a leg to stand on because outside Valandhir and myself, I don't think it even has shippers (Boromir/Kíli). If anyone else does ship it, it's because of either Valandhir's fic or our RP.
