Re: I am Euphoric...

Yeahhhhhh. Fair. I guess my point in the specific context of OP's post is that (a) you don't have to be an atheist to try to change the systematic inequalities in religious practice, so I don't think it makes sense to talk about it as though atheism plays a special role in that struggle - you can equally well to try to address systematic injustices while still believing in God; believing in God is not the cause of the injustices and (b) I don't think the things that people mostly criticize A Certain Kind Of Atheist Who Seems To Post A Lot On The Internet for (to be specific) are actually related to anything that has to do with addressing systematic inequalities in religion. It just seems like the two parts of OP's post kind of have nothing to do with each other.

Yeah, I can get how the post could seem a little disjointed.

It's not disjointed, it's incoherent and it means that OP's point is pretty much incoherent.

Not OP

(a) While you don't have to be an atheist to criticize the problematic aspects of major religions, denying or dismissing the important role that atheist organizations play in that discourse is disingenuous and silencing, and (b) "A Certain Kind Of Atheist..." gets shorthanded to "atheists" far too often both on the internet and in real life, leading to damaging stereotypes that dismiss and ignore the growing movement within the atheist community that recognizes intersectionality and supports social justice - and that help to silence the legitimate voices of atheists in general.

I knew exactly what OP was talking about; horizontal infighting vs. challenging the institutions that come down on both groups.
