(Anonymous) 2014-02-13 03:40 am (UTC)(link)I think maybe this is part of why fandom seems to have shifted some, as the anon above you mentioned? At first it wasn't so obvious. There were very few female characters, but due to that, there really weren't too many female character deaths. (Well, other than the damsels in distress as part of the cases of the week. And the fridging of Sam's girlfriend. And the like.) Perhaps when more female characters died and were shown to be disposable, others started to care more? I don't know.
