That's true, though I would probably still give it a shot. Mrs. Hudson is awesome.

They could have it framed by the current actress telling the story.

Why not the same actress? It'd be even better if it was her because we the viewers only see Mrs. Hudson as she is now. Only Sherlock (and Mycroft) may know what she looked like as a younger woman. Imagine her revealing her past to Watson or someone else and they can only visualize current Mrs. Hudson versus her younger self.

There's probably an actress out there somewhere who could pull it off.
Mrs. Hudson's backstory is the newest addition to the list of things I NEED but didn't know I wanted until this instant.
